Nemesis AKA Brian M. Brown AKA Brian@nopistons.com

Purchased an intercooler from him (old greddy/trust kit - Labeled as Re-amemiya)

Paid January 29th

received Feb 10th

Missing: 3 pipes.

Now it's March

After emailing brian on the 11th, I recieved a reply on the 12th saying he would take a look, on the 15th i recieved an email saying he found "the main" pipe i needed and it would be shipped out ASAP. I havn't heard anything since, no replies to emails, no replies to Instant messages. It's going to cost me an arm and a leg to get this stuff fabricated. Not to mention it's been 2 months without an intercooler that I friggin paid for. If anyone knows him or can contact him please tell him to clear up his name and get his ass in gear!!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

You can see what was in the kit vs what i got here:

(the s5 AFM was included but the rest of the circled items are missing)

This is off topic but what you have is a HKS kit. RE Amemiya relables the Greddy/Trust one, not the HKS one.

I just recieved an email from brian asking me where I would like it shipped stating he had an emergency, so we will see if it actually gets here this time. I will post a follow up once I recieve the missing pipes

my 2 cents,

I haven't had any problems with Brian, He's bought stuff from us for a long time and seems like a nice guy. All of the sales crew loves him.

f1bluerx7 04-01-2004 12:58 PM

The piping kit is HKS, this is true... However the actual intercooler is a trust/greddy with a nice big re-amemiya plate on the top.

I agree with The Queen, I've played SOCOM online with Brian many times, he's a stand up guy and if he says he had an emergency, I believe him. This stuff happends, I'm sure he'll resolve it.

Maybe you guys should contact him and tell him to clear up his name?

Playing video games with someone online does not put you in a situation that tests the guys honesty or reliability. Only people who have experiences involving _monetary transactions_ with the person in question should be vouching for him. Even the most shady people play online games and will be fun to do so with.

I'm on irc in the same channel as f1bluerx7 and it sounds like a pretty retarded situation and nemesis is not handling it well. I know neither of these guys personally, I've talked to nemesis in person on AIM and he seemed OK but have done no transactions with the guy so I have no idea.

If you have not sold things to or bought things from a person of significant value (multiple times preferably in both directions) you have no foundation to your statement of him being a 'stand up guy', we have to be careful online it's very easy to get peoples trust and faith falsely.

It's funny, once the tables are turned it doesn't feel so great, huh? There are a couple of pieces missing from this story. Remember when you owed me $600 for three months and wouldn't return my emails? Then every once in a while you would write a one line email with a lame excuse. Is it coming back to you now? Sucks, huh?

Your items were shipped out, as descibed. I forgot to send one of the pipes. I'm sorry. You've had the kit for over a month it's only been about a week since you told me the pipe was missing. Calm the **** down. The pipe is on the way to you.

BTW - the 30 IM messages a day and ugly harassing emails do not make me want to expedite the shipping of this item. You really need to go see a counselor and get to the root of your emotional issues. Please do not ever respond to another of my for sale items again.

My ebay feedback is impecable, and I have sold items to many board members on this forum and the other forums without issue. If anyone requires references in the future, please let me know.

I will not reply to this thread again.

Glad to see it's getting taken care of.

Doing business online can be quite stressful sometimes, so I hope we can keep this section useful. Meaning; If you vouch for a vendor/forum member, please base it on past experiences involving significant monetary transactions. Same goes if you badtalk a vendor.

Members will look in here before buying something, and if a thread is full of people being supportive of a vendor when they have never purchased a thing for their car from them, it can be misleading and defeat the apparent purpose of this place. That is the point I was trying to make earlier.

I have no past bad experiences with nemesis and hope this gets settled, in my limited experience he's fine, never purchased anything from him in the past though.

No, It was less then a month that I owed you 600 dollars. And it was agreed upon between you and me, don't believe me? Here you go.

12/28 I offered an amount for your intercooler (more then you would have gotten from anyone else, I might add) I made a down payment of 200 dollars.

1/23 as the date of payment actual date of payment was 1/29/04 Due to an snow storm in baltimore.

Hardly 3 months. So now, aside from being a terrible seller, you are also a liar.

3/11 Was the first day I had to install the item. This is the day I notified you of the missing parts. Let's see today is...4/4/2004 ... I'm sure you can figure out how long thats been.

I do not go out of my way to bitch about a seller unless they've got alot of MY MONEY and I don't have what was agreed upon at the time of sale. I also never ignored you. If anyone wants proof of any of this I can take screenshots of my paypal account and show you. Guess what, If you answered any of my emails, I would have never IM'd you.

Don't worry I'm not dumb enough to ever buy anything from you again. My ebay feedback is also excellent, I've sold many items over the Rx7club.com forums and I can provide references as well.

You can try to save face by ignoring this, but this post is going to be here next time someone goes looking to buy something from you.

Fd3BOOST 04-04-2004 11:32 PM

Well you have both made your points to each other and Nemisis has promised that the parts have been shipped. Not the way it should of been handled if you ask me but hey wtf do i know right? A few words of advice.. The customer is always right. One last thing, Nemisis seems to make a habit of saying "i will not reply to this thread again" WTF is that all about?

Anyway I hope that you get your parts.

f1bluerx7 04-09-2004 04:14 PM

4/9/2004 One of the missing pipes arrives leaving only two peices left that was pictured but not sent. Hopefully everything fits together and works.

-Mike

Bottom left circled pipe arrived today, still two missing peices top right (red and silver peice)

http://www.cochran-racing.com/b5_1missing.jpg

f1bluerx7 04-10-2004 11:47 PM

Well I give up. I'm having the pipes made. After working all day today fitting the pipes together, it's painfully obvious that the red pipe circled is needed to go from the 2 inch piping from the turbo to the 2 1/2 OD piping of the intercooler. So once again, not everything is here. The complete kit that was agreed upon is not here.

The pictures prove it. There are specifically 2 peices in the pictures that are not here.

The right thing to do here would be to refund the amount of money that it would take to get the piping made. Which would constitute a complete FMIC kit as agreed upon at the time of the sale. Will that ever happen, I'm not holding my breath.

I'm at a loss, this forum post is my only recourse. I can't file a complaint with paypal or ebay... and that's it. I'm left after this transaction, in the hole with half a FMIC and the prospect of dishing out more cash for piping to be made.

RotaryResurrection 04-23-2004 02:15 AM

I can verify that not all the pictured/required parts were not present when the kit arrived, as I was the person doing the unpacking/inspection. During (attempted) assembly it was obvious there was nowhere near enough piping to do the job.

One would think that the purpose in paying a good sum of money for a "kit" would be to avoid costly and hassling fabrication. That won't be the case here.

For the money he has invested in this "kit" as well as the fabrication that'll be required, he could have bought the greddy 2 row with piping brand new, and it would have performed twice as well and definitely looked a shitload better.

f1bluerx7 05-08-2004 08:01 PM

Well I sent Brian an offer... I'll take the intercooler and ship it back to him and take 200 less of what I paid for it no questions asked. And I also told him I'd let him delete this thread if he agreed to the terms.

This is your chance to own up and ... fix... if you could call it that, a bad situation YOU are responsible for.

I ask the administrators of NoPistons.com, is Brian someone you would *REALLY* want representing you in the forum?
