Could someone explain this to me , i dont know maybe i am wrong , so i am looking for my fellow forum members here for an opinion

I contact JUDGE ITO to help me get parts for my blown 20B , i talk to him pretty long on the phone and i get this really good vibe from him , so i decide to order everything from him ,so i send him a cashiers check , this was in january now its mid june , i keep calling no one picks up , or when they do , the parts are there and they just need to be send ,there is no time etc,(seals and a ported housing ) so my question is this , ........i should have made this a poll but anyways have i been taken for a ride or is this normal , i am to the point of thinking i have lost my money , not to mention my time , what am i supposed to think , and what would you guys do ?

OK...I've dealt with Ito, he's a great person and really does a great job!! BUT (when he was doing work for me - this was 2 years ago) he did take some time, I felt the way you did at times and I did the same as you and asked around. The general response I received was: He's a 1 man show, he's really busy, and he's a perfectionist.

I found all to be true and was more than satisfied at the end.

During my dealings with him I often left him with cash for parts and never had a second thought about it. If I were you would keep calling, I don't see Ito as someone who would rip anyone off. (I am guessing you aren't from the area and just can't go to his shop??)

Just my opinion, good luck!!

You need to get your money back! I have just recently dealt with Ito and wasn't pleased with the end result. If you are not from the area, you are basically screwed. There should be no excuse for a one man show. Either he has time or not. My car stayed at his shop for 15 months and judging by the receipts he started working on it when I posted about him on this forum. I lost money, time and not to mention that my car came back with a low compression engine, dents, scratches, etc.

Get your money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also have done business with ITO and have referred some to him (very happy). The knowledge he has, has been noted by the racing community in which he participates. I believe as a one man show the actual business side I.E." public relations including day to day business" has taken a lot of time out of" turn around " to the customers.

I have many friends in the auto repair and motor build; I even turn a wrench on my weekends to help. I realize how stopping to answer the phone when 75% of the calls are from unknown people wanting to chat and talk about what should I do stuff.

He has stated his would like to build winning motors and cars and get away from operations but at the same time has to work to take care of his family.

There is no excuse for lack a communication with current clientele and I think he will have to accommodate.

You know the old saying be careful for what you wish for ...you might get it?

He got it...boy did he get it.

My friend who built the best rotary motors ever for Road Racing for 5 years pulled my motor (street R1) and my car sat in Baton Rouge for one year.... I couldn’t tow it to another state in boxes. He then sold the shop left town and moved to Ohio leaving my motors in a mini storage and my FD in the lot next door. I never saw it comming. Then I tow everything to Texas to a well-known racer/builder. It sat in the sun for two years! Ruined my paint! Now my car is at a shop and has been there for months (year) and I am getting ready to rack it. (I have assembled a lot of it) We aren’t dealing with dealerships that plug in stuff and as customers (me) we are at fault to leave our cars at a shop that isn’t doing the work. I hope that ITO addresses your concerns in a manner that you feel is what is needed.

I hope things work out and he comes through. We hate to see good work go bad because of difficult circumstances on the personal side.
