just to let you guys know we were outnumbered about 3 to 1. all the supra guys had it easy. after the first round i was the only rx7 in eliminations and the only reason i did that was because joe nycredrex had his T78 supra and ran back to back 11 second passes with no safety equipment and got DQ'd. i had a bye run the second run. it was not our day at all. i hope to see about ten times as many cars next year for the event. it was pretty pathetic. i thank T&R, rob,rx-revin, paul efantis from MSP, and everyone that showed up. i didn't have that much fun considering on my first run something broke in my trans....... the supra guys also had all their heavy hitters out.... the guys with 700rwhp.....

 

what were your times?

 

only two runs i got were 12.0 @ 117.6 and 12.4 @ 115

out of the 5 rx-7's owned by good friends in my area mine went up there

I was one of the chickens in the p-lot ( Waiting for an AFC that I just got this afternoon)

Sean - 10th anniv - chick rammed his door the night before and broke in his window and smashed the door

Kevin -1st w/to4 turbo - seals just went bad in his engine, and he was spitting un-combusted oil out his exhaust

Jon - '89 T-2 - engine went a month ago and he has been to broke/lazy to get to rebuilding it

Brian - ~'83 NA - rear suspension fell apart when he swerved onto embankment to avoid a car stopping in front of him



so there is our excuses 1 of 5 could get there and I was not about to have even that one not make it back healthy



oh yeah and a lite bulb fell out of the Mc D's cieling, right onto the table I was eating at that morning, fortunately I had just gotten up to get napkins



Those Supra guys must have had a witch doctor and an RX-7 model car w/pins sticking out of it.

 

this event was not supported by the Rx7 community. for me it will me the First and last time I get involved and try to help out in events such as this.. very disappointed.. :rant:
