same here.

by the way there is a shop in linden, right on rote 1&9. I believe they have a dyno. and the ppl that work there are pretty nice for honda drivers(hehe).

JRX7 11-19-2001 04:40 PM

Mustang Magic is a nice dyno shop on LI, right near Deer Park Avenue. I know it's a little bit of a trip for most people, but it's a nice place and theres plenty to do nearby.

Yeah, I heard about this shop that seems to pop quite a few motors on the dyno. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

turborotor 11-24-2001 12:09 PM

Hey that was my idea https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR#>/11.gif

I don't care, as long as it happens. No motor popping soon. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

Last time the tristate did it, it was at Milford CT at Proven performance I believe. Wael is from that area.

vosko 11-24-2001 10:29 PM

i'll start asking around if nothing else i'll dyno my GTU https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

Mr. Stock 11-25-2001 06:53 AM

Tri-State has held three dyno events.

The first was at Rally Motorsports(201 342-8374) in Hackensack, NJ in 1998.

The deal that I worked out with George(owner) was $500 for the day. Each person paid $32 for I think 2 runs. It was a very good deal. The following year, George wanted way too much money( I think he wanted more than $1000). So the venue was changed.

The following year, the dyno day was held at Rampage Racing(718 396-1300) in Queens, NY. I believe they charged the club $500 for 20 cars. $25 per car.

I don't know what was worked at Proven Performance. You would have to ask Wael.

Hope this info helps in getting a deal worked out with a dyno shop whether it's in Mustang Magic or elsewhere.

i was gonna try and call rally to see if they want to hold this. i didn't know there was a dyno day there previously. i'll also ask my mechanic

Mr. Stock 11-25-2001 10:21 PM

I don't recommend Rally.

You won't get a good deal from George.

Mr. Stock 11-25-2001 10:24 PM

[QUOTE]i didn't know there was a dyno day there previously.

You proibably didn't know that the club existed back then. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I don't think mullet rotary puts any resistance on there drums, that's why the motor pops. And I don't think they care???

Probably not. You can make good money building 13 month motors when your warranty is for 12 months.

A simple way to explain it would be a treadmill for a car that measures the HP and torque at the wheels.

vosko 01-11-2002 10:26 PM

i'm gonna try and get a date tomorrow
