the rims will fit.
8" width with a 38mm offset will fit without any problems. typically on FC3S, if it's a staggered look, the x8" in the front will be a 38mm and the x9" in the rear will be a 35mm. this 3mm offset difference allows the lip/dish on both the front and rear to be the same size, despite the difference in actual wheel width. as for tires sizes. i'm not sure..but my guess would be 235? maybe 245 in the rear? |
may have to roll fenders.
i think those would look sick on a FC. |
sick as in eww gross.
|
Come on, they aren't bad at all.
225/40's are the size tires I would run. |
Well,
I'm not big with all the new styles and latest style of rims. i really like the rims due to the big lip and the design. So there's really no need for negativity. This is what i like and that's what i'm going to get> https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683621.gif |
I like them alot, mebe I have bad taste, but who gives a ****, STFU JACK!!!!
jK i <3 YOU. |
with the 18x9 you can run wider than 225, maybe 235 or 245.
Doesn't that have ill effects on the handling aspects, running a wider wheel and tire in the rear? |
Well, i understand the aspects of handling but i just thought the rims would look pretty cool with widebody fenders that i had my eyes on. i really dont think that i want to go with an entire kit so i chose to get the fenders only. but then i thought about the rims so when i ran across these on ebay, i thought that extra wide lip would look great with my plans.
|
I don't think they will fit, especially up front.
We're talking FC, right? -Ted |
yep, i have a fc. 89 gtu. i need some rims with a lip on it. i think those look really nice on 7's.
depends on what you want to do. i take it you dont like staggered fitments? |
the staggered fit i like alot. but i just dont know if that would work on my car. i cant wait to put all my parts on my car. i'm stocking up and when i have my 2 weeks of vacation i'll be putting everything together. i also saw the hp evo rims that i thought would look good on my car but i dont about the mesh look.

i take it you dont like staggered fitments?
I don't mind them, it looks tough, put I have more fun in the turns than hauling ass in a straight line, I just wouldn't want anything to take away from that. |
The offsets are too high, the wheels will be tucked in too much, at least for my taste. Plus, the front tires might rub on the suspension depending on your setup. I would run closer to a +30 offset up front if you want to be safe. I had a +20 with rolled fenders and I could have gone lower. This is for an 8" wheel.
If you're going to run wider fenders, I'd go with a 17x9 +15 or close to that with a 235/40/17. Although it seems kind of pointless to run such big wheels on a N/A car. But it will look good. Mesh wheels look great on FC's. |
