What size tires to handle >450rwhp?

Just a quick question on your proposed setup...why would you want to go with more boost on lower octane? Seems to me that you'd lose power because of the required timing changes...unless of course you're using water injection or some special technique to cool the charge.



And as for those factory cars with big meats, if you're spending $100k+ on a car, would you want to be rolling around on 17x7's that come on cars like a Mazda3? I'm sure looks alone play a part in that decision. Not saying those cars don't need wider tires, just not so sure they need 10" of rubber.
