Suspension Upgrade
#1
Well i just sold some **** and have a decent pile of cash to drop into my car. I'm looking at doing the suspension, the whole thing, From strut bars to sway bars to shocks and springs. What's the best of the best? And what would you recomend doing. A couple of things to note is i live in PA so i need stuff that wont rust . Also the roads around here arnt up to par either so i cant lower it much more than i have ( 1" ). With this in mind i would like a adjustable suspension so i can have good street / track use also i plan to do some auto and street course type racing so i need a multi purpose system. Thanks for the help and let me know what you guys think is best.

If you plan on keeping the stock wheels just change the shocks or just the springs plus do the bushings and the stronger front anti-roll bar mounts. Check the PPF, Motor Mounts and add Strut Tower Bars if you have a Touring or PP.
If you are not keeping the stock wheels use coilovers (Teins are agreat deal for the $) that way you can adjust ride height, mine's 25" to top of ea. wheelwell.
Good luck.

i don't think i would worry too much about engine mounts. pulling the engine to replace your mounts is a waste of time IMO, unless of course you have to pull the engine for something else like clutch/rebuild.
I haven't upgraded my suspension yet (well see how much i get back from uncle sam), so i can't give you any first hand advice. I would rather have the JIC's than the Teins though. It seems that a lot of people who have them are very pleased with them.
pm Rishie (ARD T2 on the other forum). he knows his **** when it comes to suspension.

Upgrade the mounts and reseal the oil pan while you are at it. Motor mounts slop over time, and the PPF has to work harder. Some people get a bar from the body to the motor eyehole to compensate (in my opinion).
