Vosko, I went with a Kirk Racing Roll Cage. It will fit in place without hindering too much drive seat mobility and will also let you keep the rear bins. You do however lose the small storage areas over the wheel wells for the jack and ****. And the passenger loses almost all reclinability. Other than that it is a great fit. I had them make mine to NHRA specs so that I would pass tech. I got a full weld in cage, you could get a bar if you wanted but if you ever go below 10.99 then you will need a cage, not a bar.

interesting. judge ito's brother can build me a full custom cage. i just might take him up on the offer. i like ito-spec parts :bigthumg:

Vosko, I've had a S&W chromoly in my stang since 97. I loved the quality of the kit and have never had a prob at the few events I've gone to with it. So, if your curious as to thier quality I swear by it.

ito said S&W makes nice parts. i'll have to call them. i'd like to keep the car as streetable as possible with the roll cage while being legal to run 10's

well, i have had the kirk cage in both of my fd's. it saved my life once, and it is now in my red fd. the one and only.....there is a pic of it in the wrecked car of mine in the pic archive thread, i think that it is on page6, or what ever the last one is....

theres a guy in patterson, who makes chassis. from what i hear pretty darn good ones too. he might be able to make u a legal cage for ur needs. i asked my dad for his name and he didnt know. he only knows him by "el compy" or "el compay". ito should know him. used to race an 8 sec(not 100% sure) rotary powered blue datsun fastback.

i went to a friend of ito's shop. he was doing a black TII 3/4 chassis car. looked pretty insane!

Jey-Tech can do cages vosko. i was talking to Jay about building me a cage the other day. once i fill out a few more cc aplications i'll be taking my car to south jers to have Jay hook it up
