Removing Single Piston Front Caliper

i was trying to remove the front calipers from the car and just couldnt . i got the lower bolt off but then it says to move the caliper up and slide it off the pin....it moves up but wont get off the ****** pin......what am i doing wrong?....

I did my brakes a couple of months ago and ran into the same thing. The passenger side slid right off, but the drivers side would barely even budge. I ended up taking it to a vice and tapping it off. If you are replacing your calipers however just leave it since it is part of the rebuildable core. When I got the rebuilt calipers both of them slid freely.
