So i am looking in to rims because i need new tires anyway. So will 17x9 fit all the way around ? also can I put 265/40/17 all the way around or will that rub?
open to any sugestions! thanks Cole |
265 no way!
225/45 and 255/40 i get slight rubbing in the front. i need to roll the fenders |
It's not worth going to 265's since they will be taller. 255's are almost the same height as 245's, which are the same diameter as the stock 225/50-16's.
275's will fit without rubbing or fender rolling and 285's will need rolling. The trick is the proper offset. I run 255's on the rear with a +35 but you don't turn the rear wheels. My fronts are 225/45's on 8" rim with +33 and needs fender rolling. OEM offset is +50, so try to stick between +40 and +50 and stick with 255/40-17 on 17x9's. Currently you can get Pirelli P6000's for only $100ea on DiscountTireDirect. There is more info on this on the evil forum. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/blink.png |
i had a post up for something like this....... and from what i have been told 285's are good for the front with the proper offset

Only if you have aftermarket coilovers with a 2.5" spring. 10" wheel
