Cool

Does anybody know were i can find a rack an pinion that doesn't have power steering,

i hate power stering, i find it handles so much better without,

but cuting the power steering strap is to dangerous , I want to

eliminate it completly, i not sure but i think the factory makes one

stock without p/s.

I had a 89 tercel once, thing couldn't handle for ****,

cut the power steering strap off, i was takin impresive turns

at 70km, not bad for a 200$ rust bucket. And now i am convinced

no P/S for me.

**** THAT ****.

p/s really only helps when you're stationary.... but who wants to be stationary when you're in a 7? :bigok:

I removed my power steering in my FD. I just pulled the lines off and ran a 1 foot loop of SS line between the two holes. Ryan, Don't be a Rikki, just plugged his two holes, you can do it either way. I heard that you should loop them to allow the fluid to still move around but either way will work.

I switched to a manual rack in my S4 rather than looping the lines in the P/S rack. The weight savings is great and I prefer the manual feel but it is more turns lock to lock than the power one.

Don't plug them. Loop them at the least. The rack needs fluid in it.

try taking a curve at 80km with p/s.

now try takin a curve at 80km without p/s.

that my friend is were the difference jumps in.

plus it's more safe, because even if your goin about

50km and take a curve, what happens if the p/s strap snaps, or the pipes burst, or the pump get's seized?

and by the way it's illegal to run a rack and pinion that was built

to have p/s, and that got canceled.but, **** them if you wanna do it,

it's for your safty and the safty of your ride.........
