im not looking to upgrade anything i dont have to but i need to get the stock rubber bushings FAST and cheap if possible.

is this a hard task to replace besides having to disassemble the suspension? my old bushings are basically shot and if i get anything stiffer my car will shake apart due to the harsh roads here.

For cheap stock parts, I'd try http://www.mazdatrix.com

the stock ones are more expensive than jim labrecks bushings but his are stiffer. Yes it is tough to press them out. YOU NEED A HYDRUALIC PRESS!! I used a 12 ton press and it work perfectly. Most shops were looking at charging me $60 an hour for at least 4 hours work and that was with me bringing in the suspension parts already off the car. Buy a press from nothern tool company for $100 you can do it yourself in a day or 2. If you need any help on doing it just ask. I havebeen there and done that.

yeah....oh well haha.

I can take all that stuff out, ive done it before.

NaughtyFD 07-31-2003 07:16 PM

Oh my bad. I know you have heard it before but DAMN I WISH I HAD AN FD WHEN I WAS 16!!!! Actually would have been impossible casue I was 16 in 91 but you get the drift.

If you take it all out it will be a piece of cake. You gotta wait until the weekend of the 23rd at least, I am in the Army and have to go away for a few weeks but after that I will be back.

Ill bring ya a case lol. Yeah i dont know if i want to tear it apart right now, its nice driving in the summertime. Mabye if i buy some suspension mods ill just take everything out, save the pain of doing it twice

NaughtyFD 08-01-2003 06:11 AM

Thats what I did, replaced the entire suspension all at once.
