i remember a thread somewhere before about the RE and mazdaspeed ppf's. it was a guy who worked for RE, he said that RE basically just modifies a stock ppf by welding in supports, nd that the mazdaspeed ppf was a copy of the RE unit. basically all of the jap 'aftermarket' ppfs are just stock units that have extra bracing welded in. so why not just modify yours?



unless you wanna spend hundreds of dollars to have a shiny blue one imported

WHat the hell is the differece from an OEM one? The color or extra pieces welded on?

both, the extra peices make it LOOK stronger, while the high tensile strength blue paint adds to the torsional rigidity :bigok:
