1 way only locks on accel

1.5way FULL lock on accel. only 1/2 lock on decel

2 way FULL lock on decel and accel

2 way is more for drifting.....brake drifts are cool

So clutch-type or helical--which one is better?

clutch type is stronger and locks harder better for drifting

helical is better for GRIP driving but cannot take as much power before it explodes

I thought it was the other way around, 1 way locks on accel and ...

helical is better for road racing, it has the highest torque bias of any type of differential to the wheel that has grip. They can be upwards of 6:1 whereas viscous is like barely 2:1 and clutch can go up pretty high but the springs are so tight that the diff locks so suddenly it upsets the car at 10/10 limit driving

Torsen or other designs similar are the best. Unless u drag race, then you might as well weld your diff solid.

Yeah, that's what I thought. There has been many arguments regarding the clutch type and torsen. Personally, I've only had experience with torsen-types but I've heard quite a few good things about Kaaz's LSD.

What companies make torsen-types for FCs?

fd and fc differentials are interchangalble... therefore you can use an fd's torsen in an fc

Well, I know of guru in OZ--great stuff. I also know that Quaife does not have an application for FC's. They told me that if I send them my diff and if I can get 10 plus people involved, they would make one.

I've used Quaife's diffs in the past and Ive always been happy with them, but if they don't have an app for an FC, I'd rather go with another company.
