Installed H&r Springs
#1
I installed a set of H&R spings today.
It was a seriously dificult task.
I would dare say the worst thing i have had to do yet on my car.
I used all hand tools, but that wasnt the difficult part.
On the fronts getting the struts back in on the bottom was a task to say the least.
The rears were much easier to do. I had to play with the stuff to get it in but it went in.
I also was figuring it out as i went along so that took some time.
Alot of cusing and screaming at the A arm seemed to help.
I took some pics but i left my camera at my parents house.
Im 27 and still use their driveway
It seems as though the car actually rides smoother than the stock set up.
Nothing is rubbing and the car squats so well into the wheel wells that I just wanted to stare at it all night.
I'll throw some pics up later ofcoarse but I can say two things.
I would never wish this job on my worst enemy and the H&R springs are awesome and I would recomend them to anyone wanting to do only a set of springs on their car.

I also am using H&R's. You'll only be more pleased when you have a chance to put them to good use! The transition rate is immediate now. Just be aware, the warning in the box about springs affecting handling characteristics is not at all uncalled for. The change is pretty dramatic.

yeah the first thing i did on my car was replace the struts with konis. it was a hard task, esp. for my first job on the FD. i need to get some springs. I havent decided if i want to save up and get some tien coilovers or GC setup thingys. Dave you didnt have to use a spring compressor??

Yea I got a spring compressor from Sears for $40.
I am using the stock struts.
Sinful7, what excatly do you mean about the trasition rate being immediate?
I am new to suspension mods so Im not familiar with all the lingo.
