Start my response with all kinds of disclaimers (your CG, tires, power, etc etc, followed by we really don't have much time on our car, etc) ---

When I got ready to run our car, I called around because I had NO idea where to put it. A reliable friend said 50-52 inches in front of the rear axle line, 2 inches off the ground.

I put it there and have never changed it -- seemed to work fine.

Well

Thank you very much for your input, There is got to be a formula for calculating all of this. the inputs are cars weight, tire sizes, wheellbase distance, CG., etc. I think that we have dpast the time of try and error. Now in the age of computers and all there is got to be someone that had come with a formula. I wonder if you change your setting you will improve your timing. The question is how close is your setting from a 100 % perfect? I am in search of this answer
