i was thinkin' of arranging a rx-7 meeting one afternoon in Tallahassee and inviting owners from nearby towns. if you live in Valdosta, Jacksonville, or any other place near Tally, please post your location so I can get an idea of numbers.



rough draft details: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. (??) or 2-6 or 3-6, not sure. End of April??(not Easter)

for fun, mandatory hawaiin shirts

prize for best(wildest or nicest) hawaiin shirt (as voted by attendees)

prize for best overall car (as voted by attendees)

place: this is up for suggestions. I was thinking of Hooters not for the obvious reasons but because of 1) type of food, but mainly for 2) the big state parking lot behind the "restaurant" which is empty on weekends and could be used as a staging area. I'm sure we could loiter back there at will.



this would strictly be to meet and gather and admire and shoot the breeze. there's not much else to do here. please reply if even remotely interested or any suggestions. thanks!

oooo! I'm interested! I live in Tallahassee. Where are you? I know there's a group of rx-7 guys that meet at the Whataburger classic car meet once a month. I've never got around to talking with them, but that could be more folks to invite.

the local rx-7's don't go to every whataburger meet..actually we've only been to maybe 2 in the last year. the best way to see 7's is to join the local yahoo board and round everybody up. It ain't easy though, there's 45 members and I've only met 3(?). Here's the link for the Tallahassee SE-RX7 club, you can see how slow it is. I've resorted to driving around town and "stalking" any rx7 i see hoping the owner will want to stop and meet.

i can't go this Saturday 'cause I'm going to a baptism at 5pm. Even if there's no 7's, there's always some interesting cars there. I've seen a viper and lotus esprit(?) before.
