Thumbs down

Ok, so I drove my car out to my mother in laws the other night and when I went back out to start it... nothing happened. The engine isn't even attempting to start.... the alternator is reading at full charge and the battery is reading at 12... but there is a lot of dimming going on so I'm not sure if that reading is correct... the battery is currently hooked up to a charger but nothing is happening there either... not even charging... checked the starter cleaned the battery connections... but still no response.... What do you guys think is going on? Is it possible that my battery is just dead?

Check the fusible links. One or more is probably dead or shorting out. Replace them with new fusible links at about any autoparts store. They look like little boxes with female sockets on one side. Or it may be the starter solenoid if it clicks when using the ignition but the motor doesn't turn over.
