Hobbyist - Questions about Rotor Housing Reusability
Hello gang. New member here. So I purchased a 40th Anniversary 6 speed RX8 with 64000 original miles with a blown engine. The engine has been pulled and disassembled and I am prepping to rebuild it as I have most of the tools etc needed to do the work and figured it would be something fun to do with my time. The car is pretty much just a toy and while I don't want to cheap out on the build, I am also not rich so anything I can do to stay on some sort of semblance of a budget will keep the wife happy. LOL.
For this post, I'd like opinions on whether or not my rotor housings look to be candidates for my rebuild? My thoughts were to send them out for resurfacing, but there is some minor edge problems on the one that per the FSM is within spec, but I am more so leaning toward people like me with real world experience. Would you resurface these housings and put them in service in a rebuild?
