what would happen if you slapped one on?
not a whole helluva lot (provided it isn't possessed and inclined to slap you back). you'd have to make sure all is well with the car (correct pump, regulator, etc.) and then of course, you'd have to tune it. there might be more involved, like ignition, but you never mentioned what car you have though. also, first you'd have to have chosen the correct Holley.
