I am looking at a 1990 RX7 GTX FC JDM RHD Turbo. But some things look kinda weird.
It has the S5 tail lights, S4 front bumper, S4 gauges and 2+2 cloth front and rear seats.
The main thing that confuses me is the red line is at 7k when it should be at 8k for a S5.
I am still not sure on the difference of S4 and S5 turbo engines.

Does anyone know if this car is a S4 or S5?

You need a new cluster. One is on ebay. Huge differences in s4 and s5 wiring and gauges/switches.

 

Only N/A redline at 8k.

 

I have a couple rhd cars, if you can post a couple pictures of what you have I can compare them with mine and show you which year you have and what parts you need. It sounds like there was some swapping of parts on this car. There are many rhd options that are not just JDM versions and they all have different wiring set ups. My first RHD caused me to learn everything about the worlds model options. I ended up needing to replace everything to get it to work properly. I am sure this can be figured out. This should help you. Another way to tell is the CAS connector. If it runs from the Front harness you are S4 and if it's running from the Emissions harness you are S5.
