Default Need pilot bearing and flywheel advice

Hello Everyone,

I could use some technical advice. I'm relaxing the clutchon my 85 GSL-SE. Engine and Tammy are out of the car. I purchased an Exedy clutch kit. I having a very difficult time with the pilot bearing.

The pilot beating seemed fine, but I decided to replace it anyways as it would probably fall shortly after I put everything back. I got a bearing puller, but the stupid thing will not come out. Now I have no choice, because it doesn't rotate any longer, buggered up trying to remove it.

So, I'm pulling the flywheel to get a close look. Got the nut off, but of course the flywheel doesn't want to budge. Mazdatrix recommends a brass hammer blow to loosen the flywheel, but others are saying that's a no go. Thoughts?

Second issue, once I get the flywheel off, how do I get the pilot bearing out?

Third issue. I noticed on Atkins site the they sell a pilot bearing and small seal together. The Exedy kit came with a pilot bearing, but no seal. Is it mandatory to replace this seal? If so how do you remove it and install it? Does it just push in when you seat the pilot bearing?

Thanks
