Wheel and Tire Questions
All,
I'm looking to get either 16 x 7 wheels or maybe the 15 x 6.5 BBS vert wheels to run on my N/A '86 GLX. What tire width would be the most ideal for aggressive street driving and autocrossing? I'm sure up to a 245 would fit easily on either rim but since my car will be mostly stock in the power category except for a RB full exhaust system, is it worth going larger than a 225? I don't want the extra rolling resistance of a 245 if I don't need any larger than a 225 to get good traction/grip. Also, anyone have some extra BBS vert wheels sitting around?
Thanks

225's would probably work. i have 225/45/17's on mine. and although i know they have a shorter sidewall i think you'd be fine. look at tire compound too. different tires have different compounds. unfortunately the stickier the tire the less time they'll last.
