What is the biggest tire and wheel I can put on a 86' GXL? The application will mainly be curvy country roads and maybe a couple of trips to the drag strip when I am done. I don't want to look like a rice kid with roller skate looking wheels but I want the biggest tires for handling and hookup.

 

225s up front, and 265s in the rear. But since tire manufacturers vary their width measurments, it would be safer to go with a 255 in the rear.
