Thumbs up

Found a 2004 RX8, GT 6sp black. Looks immaculate, offered with "certified" label. But CARFAX shows two accidents. Could be the same one, as they are dated within two months.

Dealer is asking $16000, KBB list is $17285, and NADA list is $17150.

How much less do you think I should offer to cover the unknowns from the accident? I was thinking $15000 may be fair, but looking at private party sales, most are between $12 and $14,000. It does come with some 'certified' warranty though.

certified as in mazda certified? did you ask them about the accident? i'd really clear that up before making a move. as for pricing, 15k is overpriced and most likely they'll have trouble moving it at that price. it obviously depends on mileage and whether it's mazda certified (as in with mazda warranty), but unless you have the money, i'd say 13 is more like it

i'd go look at the car first, if they are worse than a fender, id skip the car.

mazda sold 30,000 2004's there are plenty around, plus the newer ones are better
