Sup all i have a rebuilt street ported turbo II motor, but i dont currently have a turbo to go with it . I was thinking of slapping on a racing beat header that i have and running it like that , with some 420 cc injectors and the factory s5 n/a ecu .what do you guys think? how slow will it be? will i have any problems? i really need my car running. i miss it....lol...

I would think that the vehicle would not be able to get out of its own way if it is a turbo motor without the boost, could be wrong but my only experience with this has been with a turbo motor that had pistons, it ran but would not even pull a small hill due to the compression difference. Like I said, could be very wrong.

Since the engine runs 90% plus of the time with no boost, I would guess that it would run okay. It will not have as much power as a normal NA engine due to the lower compression, but it should run and be driveable.

The ECU will freak if you do not have all the sensors hooked up.

Just because the motor's still pulling a vacuum doesn't mean the turbo's not doing anything. I've tried driving the car without running positive pressure, it barely moves then. With no turbo assist, I'm not sure the car would have enough power to climb small hills, accelerate fast enough to keep up with traffic, etc as stated above.

a t2 motor with out a turbo runs just fine it is just about as fast as a normal na

if your motor is street ported it will probably make more hp than a stock na also, the comp ratio is still 9.0:1 thats not that low really
