Thumbs up

The factory rear spoiler on my '88 GTU is almost broken all the way through. Is there a way to repair it? I'm not even sure what it's made of... some kind of semi-flexible, semi-stiff foam. I'm afraid that if I use a 2-part apoxy that it'll eat the foam.

I also want to fill in the hole that the antenna passed through.

Any suggestions? Would it be cheaper/easier to just find a replacement?

TIA.

I thought urethane was more like plastic. Are the bumper covers made from urethane?

Asking an automotive paint store is a good idea though, thanks.

West system 2-part epoxy. You will of course have to do body work and prime and paint it after.

BTW silver turbo- body fillers are polyester based.

They do sell **** for the urethane bumpers, its a 2 part flexable repair kit, BFG actually makes it. Alot of shops use standard body filler for repairs on flexable bumpers, basically ANY repair made to a flexible bumper will crack again if its hit, so they dont bother with any of those kits.

I used some body filler to fill some gouges on both sides of my front bumper and have no problems to this day seven years later.
