Greetings, I'm way new to the Mazda thing - don't know if I should say it out loud here, but I'm a chevy guy - you can see my current here and by way of the links:

Now for the question - I have the opportunity to purchase a very recently wrecked '81 - I work with the kid's (who wrecked it) mom. I'd be buying it dirt cheap. The kid's uncle babied, pampered and garaged it for years. The front is pretty well beat up - I have pics I can/will email. If the front frame is that box the struts attache too - it is probably bent. If its to big a job to fix how is the parts market - it has a nice black interior, sunroof........

thanks in advance

Ronnie

I took these pics just about dusk. I didn't take enough tools to get the hood open - I'll probably get it delivered to my home tomorrow if it looks repairable. When I say dirt cheap I'm talking about towing charges from the crash site to my house. So, if I had to part it out I would get hurt.

I put the pictures here:

There is a crimp in the "frame" just next to the windshield washer (?) bottle (passenger side) and I'm not sure about the other side. The drivers door is fine along with the windshield.

thanks for the help/advice/suggestions

Ronnie

thanks - like I mentioned I'm a Chevy guy - I'm still trying to get my head around the whole rotary engine thing - I remember when they came out - but have never studied them enough to know much.

I emailed you the url- if it doesn't work, let me know and I'll shrink the pics and email them as pics.

thanks
