I think those have something to do with decreasing restriction since there are no flat edges.Air horn or trumpet ? I read a big debate on those a while back and forgot everyword. lol.

I always see those on thumper turbos. Doesn't it also have something to do with anit surge limiting?

It prevents a vena contracta condition, which limits flow.

If you left the turbo without a filter on the front of it you risk sucking in well...anything, right? Just for show, right?

Couldn't you use one with some screen in between that and the compressor housing? Where would you buy something like that? I be interested to know more about them. Is it just called an air horn?
