The local autozone carries the bur9eq's, they have had them in stock the last couple times i went in there. I was kinda surprised.

 

hahaha i live in the south but not that far south. in live in ft myers florida. everything i order takes a couple weeks unless i overnight it.

i am not trying to decide what spark plugs to use i was trying to find out where i could get spark plugs. nobody locally carried them and if they did dint have them and wouldnt be getting any anytime soon. anyways thanks for the reading it was fun. if anyone is curious i did what the almighty vosko said i should do and i bought it from mazdatrix and they came in about a week.

 

NGK 4 9's

 

The stock Bur's misfired for me at higher boost. I went to a gapable plug, the NGK B10EV that Riceracing uses. Problem with them is you have to file down a socket as the plug body is shorter and sit's inside the lip on the housing. It's still a PITA with power steering to change these plugs.

I've since found the NGK R5671A-10, the part number is 5820 and NAPA has them or can get them quick. This gem has a 5/8 hex so a normal 5/8 plug socket works fine. It also has a V electrode and isn't a "thin wire" type to the point above about it heating up, glowing causing pre-ignition.



I've used these for several months with 0 problems running 15psi.



Oh, I gap them at .022.
