What Fuel Blends Are You Running?
#1
I've been running 40% avgas w/ super for 16 psi boost, but wouldn't some VP C12 or C16 mix more ideal?
If it were available to me, I'd run some Sunoco 100 or other high-end, "street-legal" fuel. I'm trying to mix my own using only super unleaded w/ either racegas or avgas w/ oil.
I know about SG differences and I may be trying to mix something that won't stay mixed. I want the best octane range for best street performance w/o overdoing it and killing power potential.
Advice greatly appreciated

i wonder what the demand is for fuel over 100 octane in a typical large city.

well theres a sunco around here that has it but its like 3.30 or something a gallon, im not exactly sure, but you cant directly pump it into your tank you have to put it in a contaior first.
just go find a local airport if you have no cat and don't mind changing oxygen sensors.
what is the difference compared to av gas then? not leaded?

Sunoco 100 in unleaded and is street-legal.
I have been using avgas. Gasolines have differing specific gravities causing them to possibly not stay mixed like when you mix gal. of low-lead avgas with 12 gal. of super unleaded for weekend playtime to safely run at high boosts of 16 psi and up.
Since I am not getting any replies to my question, I will do my own unscientific testing by mixing super-avgas, super-C12, and avgas-C12 in 1:1 ratios in glass jars. I'll post my observations.

Is anyone in this forum running a high-performance fuel or a mix? Are you running 20 psi on pump super? Me, Keith, Mick, Charlie, Ron, and Britney want to know.

I'm running a street car. Methanol isn't practical for a street car. My street car is not set up for methanol. I would consider running Foster's ethanol. It smells and tastes like it could possibly yield some sort of power gain ......... that is if I can keep it well hidden from Keith.
