thats it, I am not running water injection, or an intercooler, I am just going to get a power invertor and an ige machine, when I am ready to boost I will just push a button and let the ice fly into the front of the turbo, cold water and ice chips for everyone!!!

Actually you still need the water injection and you can fill the feed tank with diffrent flavers and make slushys...

Zero I understand the concept that wi comes on at a certain point. But you said that you had yours set for 8psi right. You're not going to get anywhere near that boost level in bumper to bumper traffic so how would wi help when you are SITTING there. I understand once it clears and you can get on it, it will drop but when you sit there, it isn't doing crap, and your car is ingesting hot *** air.

Water injection does NOT help when you are sitting there. My intake temps will skyrocket. The main point of water injection is to prevent detonation. My car is not going to detonate while just sitting there. So when I hit boost, the air is cooled before it gets into the engine. Thats all I'm saying. I said that 3 times already.

But the computer doesn't know that it is colder due to the intake temp sensor being massivly heat soaked. So the computer will alter the fuel and ignition to what the temp sensor is reading.

Here's a screen shot of what Dragon's talking about.

YES thats right. And the water injection will STILL prevent detonation. So if your intake temps are colder than the computer thinks the worst that will happen is your car will run lean, the whole point of water injection is to keep you from detonating under lean conditions.

You’re obviously not very smart are you...? Perhaps you should devote your time to learning what happens to a rotary engine when it runs lean and forget about water injection, you’re not even making enough power to necessitate it. O' and when your car runs lean the engine won't give a **** if you have water injection or not. You just proved you don't even understand the concept of what water injection is used for so I'm done with you; blow your car up doing what ever you want to do because that is probably the only way somebody like you will learn...

I understand that. But you said that sitting in traffic is why you went with wi. I don't understand why sitting in traffic would make you want to use wi. Now if you were driving under normal conditions and your temps went high I would understand. Just wondering why sitting in traffic made you want to get wi.
