I'm currently running an Apexi RX-6 kit on my 93 R1. I'm looking to pick up a second 7 and I'm trying to figure out what turbo kit to go with. I've been happy with the Apexi. It spools quickly and produces nice power. It has a little more torque at low end than I need. If I'm not careful it will break loose on me early in second at 14psi on 265's. That's also getting on it right after starting into second. It could also use more top end horse in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, the car is wickedly fast and very impressive. I'm just looking to do something a little different with the next one. This car is also going to be a daily driver that will never see the track but will see a lot of light to light and hi speed action. Does anybody have any suggestions? I would like to keep the price in a lower range but at this point I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

I'm really looking to go single on this one also. I'm not just looking for light to light but also highway races too. Most of mine are runs between 55 & 125mph. So I want something that will give me a good lift at high speeds.

You could stick with a similiar size compressor(61mm) or a little bit bigger one(To4R-66.7mm). You just need a larger turbine wheel/housing for the higher rpms. A bigger exhaust system will help too.

garret makes a .86 hot side with a 1.10 front. GTP38. also a GTP38R wich is a lot better. but about a thousand more dollars also. they use them on diesel trucks. but work great on cars also...
