So this is the first time I've ever really heard of them, but this is a beast of a 7.

The Car

So, how are these compared to say a T60-1 with say a .96 a/r turbine and .70 a/r compressor? That seems to be close to the standard size most people get, am I right? I did read a little bit on Turbonetics' website... but I didn't see what was so great besides their compressor wheel sizes...

Anyways, I thought I could gain some more turbo knowledge by posting. Who knows.

P.S. Super Street articles SUCK ***. A 2-year old could write a better article on that car only describing how it looks!

Ito is one of the few here who can say if those numbers even add up.

I'm ignant but 30 lbs and then some Nos to get it there/ or on top of it I forgot? I know most drags prepped cars go into the 20 + but hummm.

Somtimes a lot of big stuff isnt all that its sounds.Even so they can just write at 50lbs he could potentially produce 1100 HP!Whatever happened to that Orange one on Super Suck cover with the two T78 and Nos? they said they would dyno soon , had a big spread but I never saw a follow up. maybe it was repo-d?

That car's probably damn near unstreetable. I have seen a thumper T88...it makes a Optima batter look SMALL. The turbo makes a T-70 look SMALL. T-88 thumper is a BB turbo also.

If you read carefully, it says it's CAPABLE of 800 rwhp...doesn't mean it HAS 800 rwhp. The turbo itself is good for over 1200 hp. As an example, the T-51R-KAI is good for 800 hp and the T-51R-SPL is good for 1000 hp.

Yeah I realized the article said capable, sorry for misleading anyone, but I still think the car could AT LEAST dyno that. But of course I know .0001% of what most people know on here.

So unstreetable, eh?

Looks more like a GT 42 than a thumper 88 to me.

that is not a thumper, it's a gt42 style turbo. that's only a 75mm compressor. it's good for 1000+rwhp on a piston engine, and probably around 800rwhp on a rotary.

Pretty sure it's not a GT42. The outside diameter of the compressor looks different and the exhaust housing is HUGE, with a tiny downpipe.

This is a standard GT42 with the 102mm wheel. They have a 5" downpipe.

Yeah that's the first thing I noticed, how HUGE the exhaust housing is. The compressor looks flat, unlike the picture you have.
