Thoughts On This Setup

Im just shooting for high numbers. This will be used for racing, and driving. I would like to know what would be a good setup to use. So far, ive thought of a few, but aimed at this:

T04E, or TO4R turbo (any suggestions ??????)

1986 GXL body (i know, lots to convert, im well aware)

1987 turbo 2 engine

1987 GTR(turbo 2) low compression rotors (8.5:1)

Custom Street port (large), ported exaust ports

2 piece 2mm apex seals

Ported FD intake/throttle body

Custom Fuel rail to fit 1000 primary/1600secondaries

Custom exaust manifold for turbo (still deciding, but lets say top T04B)

HKS super sequential BOV, and HKS external wastegate

3 core R34 skyline GTR FMIC (although contemplating a V-mount style intercooler setup)

Aluminum Radiator

F.A.L 16" electric fan

FD alternator

Custom DP leading to full 3 in exaust (single) to apexi N1

Plugged P/S (no manual rack, but no power steering assembly)

Removed A/C

All stainless steel lines (oil cooler, brakes, etc)

dual walbro fuel pumps

Lightweight flywheel

Twin plate clutch

LSD (undecided brand)

(still thinking about tranny, might go with HKS dogmission)

Microtech LTX12 EMS

Boost controller (undecided)

Possible STACK gauge cluster & other gauges as needed

MSD ignition packs

Battery relocated to rear

Emissions removed

solder all electronics

Once again, i say this is not solid. I am still in the process of deciding on what would be better/worse, what to stay away from, etc. The bigger question is the turbo. I do not know what turbine would suffice. I am leaning on a T04R and some others for now, but would appreciate any suggestions. My goals for the most part arent for 1/4 mile times only. This will be used on the street, and will be used for racing purposes (i am not an autox person). Reaching for numbers in the 600hp range was overkill (i was told by others), and to an extent is true. But nonetheless, i would like to see high enough numbers (nothing less than 400RWHP), and would like thoughts on a good turbine that could provide good power (high psi is fine, but will be run on pump, maybe with some kind of injection but i dont know too much about that yet). I dont mind some lag, comes with the territory of high HP, ive heard of the T04R boosting at ~4000RPM give or take, which sounds pretty good. I would like to stay away from bal bearing turbos due to their rebuilding costs. I was also thinking about a T04E. Like i said, nothing is certain. I originally was thinking about a T51R, but lag was too much for me. Any suggestions would be a great help. I was also told to speak to Judge Ito, but i havent had the chance to. Thank you.

to4-s will be better for street and quick spool, but i dont think you will see over 450 whp with a streetport

i think that you will need a BRE engine to fit a 3rd gen intake manifold.. not positive but pretty sure.

You don't need 1000cc primaries.. the car won't drive under vacuum at all.. and will sputter a lot. Stick with 550cc or 850cc primaries.. 1600cc secondaries are fine.

Sounds like you have a lot of money...

You can port-match lower fc intake manifolds to accomodate fd upper intake manifolds. Yea stick with 550s primaries.

How much consistant power do you guys think can be acheived with a T04E (dont know P or Q trim) at say 10-15 psi, as well as high boost; 20+psi and at what RPM do you think the power will start to die down at the given boost level? How much of a difference would be seen with the T04R, and throughout what RPM range and at what boost levels?
