I have been thinking of going single for some time now. So I was thinking of running a T78 on a street ported engine, would this be a good idea or would a T78 be to much. What I am looking for is a turbo setup that does not cost more then 4k. I would like it to put me in the 11's and have good top end power due to the fact that most of the time when I am not at the track the only place I can find someone to play with is on the high-way. A Ferrari that some doctor drives killed me back in the day and I want sweet revenge. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

Thanks.

The T78 has been the King single on the 13b for quite a while now. You'd be very happy with it.

BUT

I believe the GT35/40 is giving it a run for the money with a quicker spool up and so far (up to 17psi) equal top end. My 3bar map sensor arrives today, so I'll be pushing up into the 20psi range with my GT35/40 setup soon. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

for less $$ and LAG a T-04 setup will get you into the 11's

high 11's or low 11's

depends on how good of a driver you are and how much boost https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

On the freeway, I (GT35/40) put the smack down on the local T78's. Instant spool and I pull a car on them...then they never catch back up...Nice for when racing Vipers and other Torque beasts as they don't get a chance to "get away" while you are waiting for the T78 to spool.

Ran a '99 Viper GTS several times a few weeks ago and pulled on him instantly every run, then kept on pulling and pulling and pulling...https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png (and that was only running 15.5psi)

Actually for A LOT less money the stock twins will plant you in the mid 11's lol

Why do you need a $4K single if you only want to hit 11's

for street car, i will go with the smaller turbo anytime. like the t04 . easy 400hp with low boost. friend of my made over 400rwhp with just the little t04e. I haven't dyno my car yet but my with the t04s, jumbo port should made over 450hp. Those two turbo i mention is under 4k.

small turbo and when it's on a little laughing gas. I guess it depends on the set-up and tuning. GO E6K first and streetport.
