Thanks
Vosko and other…
My car now is very quiet (aside from the high flow exhaust) after two visits to the dealership. The throw bearing was replaced along with the pressure plate but the vehicle still made noise. It was brought back a week later to have the power antenna replaced (car wash), a wheel stud replaced, wheels balanced/rotated and for the noise to be eliminated. What cured the latter problem was simple lubrication to the fork. To be more specific they placed machine grease (white) along the fork guide rod that goes into the housing (I believe). Luckily the throw bearing and pressure plate were covered on the Mazda parts warranty from when the engine was replaced. So my baby purrs once again. Thanks again for the help!
