Power is dependent upon BOOST.

NEXT question:

What boost?

You will typically see between 375 and 400rwhp with 15psi and all of your other bolt ons and upgrades out of a t04e.

at 15lb you should made over 400rwhp. my friend rick made 402rwhp with 14lb , but his motor has street port. i think the max will be around 500hp with 18lb pump gas?

SPOautos 11-01-2002 02:17 PM

15psi and 400rwhp is just a estimate.

Its going to depend on tuning, size of street port, ect, ect, ect

The difference in those two dyno numbers easily could have been from NUMEROUS things

its just a ball park, not a definate

Well if he wants to know what it will do on a piston engine, he's in the wrong place. But depending on porting (mild to wild), expect around 400ish rwhp @15psi. You're not going to see 500rwhp with that turbo, effeciency is going to run out around 18-20psi, you'll be lucky to make 450rwhp. Most turbos will make about the same amount of power @15psi, wether its a t04e or a t78. The only difference is after 15psi when you hit effeciency ranges of turbo's. However most people don't want to take the chance of losing motors running anything higher than 15psi, its very possible though with the right air/fuel and other tuning factors.
