I am going to be upgrading to a single turbo now. A friend of mine local to me knew that I was planning on upgrading sometime soon anyways.

He approached me and said I want to buy all your stock twin turbo parts including all your solenoids and turbos etc… I am fine with that cause it will fund my single turbo upgrade kit im fabbing up.

Pretty much since my new turbo kit will have its own external wastegate, new Blow off valve, and its own dedicated oil and coolant lines that stuff is easy to me.. However will I need to keep any of those solenoids or sensors that are on my stock setup in order to make the single turbo work?

I want to ditch the rats nest under my hood and I want it all completely gone.. Can I do this by going single? Is there any parts that I am failing to mention here for going with the single.. I know downpipe and intercooler pipe ill have to get made but that’s a no brainer for me.

Also is a 38mm wastegate too small on these engines using a 62-1 turbo and im only planning on getting close to 400rwhp if not a lil more.. this will be mainly a street setup and hot highway action!

Any advice would be great on this and doing the swap!

do two 38mm , one in each runner, for max boost control, like the one from A-SPEC

well I can always run a larger one 44-46mm if needed.. I just dont want to overkill my setup..

My real main concern is the solenoids under my intake manifold if i can get rid of them all or not when i upgrade to a single turbo?
