If there's any possible way to keep it then you should kep it. If you take it out and decide to put it back in you will be cursing yourself. Plus you may be missing some parts by then. When I lived in NY I always removed my AC when I did an intercooler, but that's because I didn't mind. My passengers, however, usually had a different opinion. If it doesn't get much warmer than 75-80 degrees where you live then removing it shouldn't be a big compromise of comfort. I'm guessing your car is a 3rd gen. So another thing to keep in mind is your belt(s).

I should have added that my AC was always empty when I removed it. I was going to recharge it on my car out here, but it's not worth it.

arent you the guy that claims other people's car is yours? if so, does "your" car not have it, or does someone else's car not have it?
