I have an Apex Rx6 turbo on my FD thanking about trading out to a T-78 or 88 but I hate lag and I know I'll get more lag with the 78 let alone an 88. I am open to other options also.

Basically I am just pissed because I got crushed by a Viper Venom 650 and after getting laughed at by the guy I swore revenge at what ever the cost...

the rematch will prolly be worth 5k so well I really need to win current mods among others are pfs engine street port, 850/1300 injectors, 75 shot of giggle gas and the afore mentioned rx6 turbo...

Have a feeling I might be in over my head o well wouldn't be the first time.

The rx6 is too small for an rx-7 in my opinion. It is better suited to hondas. If you don't want much more power than stock twins can provide and want the simplicity, then it works well, but thats about it. Doesn't seam like a good bang for the buck to me. The t78 will make alot of power, but expect some lag. I don't remember off hand how much power the venoms make. You're going to need alot of boost to beat it though. Like 20 psi on race gas.

quite simple really....under 14 psi, the GT 35/40 kicks ***(fast spool up)...but if you want to boost up to 20 psi...better get something with a bigger exhaust housing...i.e. T-78.

T-88 is overkill...unless your going with a bridgeport and lots of boost.

I'd get the T-66 and boost it to 19 psi...he won't stand a chance...

With the streetport the lag shouldn't be that bad. Are you guy racing from a roll or from a stop? Lag can acutally be helpfull in some situations, instead of sitting there roasting the tires and not moving.

GT40R. Is 19 psi possible with pump gas? Also, how laggy is the T66?

I'm starting to want something bigger than a 35/40 now. Probably go with something t-61 based

We are starting from a rolling start...

The guy claims 560rwh...

I hate lag and I hear the t-78 is laggy.

Are there any other options than the T-78 since the 88 appears to big.

Not averse to going to Nippon (not literally) to get better spool and bigger power

God I love the sound of that V10...I will like it even more when he is in my rear view mirror

Better get this guy off of a launch. With some BFG comp T/A's and a 7k rpm dump...you'll move off the line quick...
