Progress on my new turbo install
#1
Wow, i haven't been on this forum for a few days. Been very busy installing this turbo. I've had a few headaches but most of them are clearing up.
Here is the before picture.
First problem was the downpipe. I was able to get in touch with the guy i bought the turbo from and get his custom downpipe. All i need now is to make a str8 pipe from the end of the downpipe to the ypipe. I'm using racing beats 3" flanges, I hope they fit my N1 dual ypipe flange ok.
The other problem when i started to install the turbo was, I coudn't get the turbo and manifold to go in as one piece, I had to take them apart, first the manifold.
HKS manifold in.
Then the turbo, compressor facing down, That's where I started to have a problem the compressor side would rub and push agaist the lower radiator hose. I had to do something if I wanted the greddy ic pipe to fit under the car like the kit was suppose to. I tryed different hoses, nothing. A spacer between the manifold and turbo might of worked.
So i decided to turn the compressor around and have it shoot up. Guess what, it worked. Now is actually better, because i don't have to move my ic pipe but have to add a piece but turn out for the better. I have to mount my BOV and that's where is goign to be welded at on that steel pipe.
The next problem is the oil line is 2 inches short and i dont' have the adapter for this. Russell should have them right?
Add more line.
Well that's it for now. I hope to have the car running by monday or early tuesday.

Yea how much, and where do u get that an oil line from? and how did u get them to fit? Did u have to thread the oil bungs or what?
The oil line came with it but you can get stuff from russell http://www.russellperformance.com/ and make your oil lines and fittings, is very easy. I was lucky to find a place local that sells rusell stuff and i'm goign to go monday and finish the oil line, I might even do the bottom one too since is rubber too.
