Try calling this place... ADP 1-866-291-3999, ask for Darryl (sp?). They might be able to help you.
I emailed around and am trying to find out how and where to rebuild this turbo.

Isn't it just a Garrett turbo? If so then parts should be readily available, unless the GT series parts are hard to come by.

Nope, The GT series is not available in US. Besides, ball bearing turbos require special machining on the turbine shaft to fit the ball bearing. Turbonetics charge around $600 extra for (single ball bearing option). it's probably much cheaper to buy a new turbo than it is to rebuild it. ball bearings are great if everything is running right but once they go bad, they're expensive to replace. ($1500 for the turbo).....

I just found out I can buy a new cartridge from New Zealand for $605 plus shipping. Expensive, but much cheeper than buying a new turbo. I was running race gas, maybe thats the cause of the whitish color?

Most likely was caused by the race gas. race gas(leaded)= high egt's= melted or overheated turbine and housing. That really sucks. I hope it doesn't get anymore expensive for you then it already is.
