???

I was wondering if anyone out there has built a peri motor setup for turbo operation. I have been thinking about making a set of peri housing with a little less timing then the Racing Beat housing and putting a intercooled turbo setup on it. Has anyone done this yet? This will be going into a 1st. gen with a full Mariah IMSA GTU bodied car. I own and race Buick GN's and make my own headers and intercooler and pipes but this will be my first turboed rotary. I owned a peri RX3-sp but sold it right after buying my first gn. Now back to the old Mazda motor but have to feel that torque hehehe. Also has anyone used one of the hand built headers (tube style) and has it cracked?? I have installed alot of stainless headers and have had them all crack???? So mine will be mild steel. maybe even do a run of them for club members or forum members

Thanks Jerry

most people that build p-port engines use http://www.racingbeat.com housings and manifolds. unless they feel like custom making everythign and using trial and error.

You could try using the header flange and tubing that Racing Beat sells. Those pipes hold up very well, and I've never seen them crack.

I used Racing Beats housing on my RX3-SP before. I was hoping someone had done this peri turbo setup before and could give me an idea where the timing should be for the window port? I do not have a used motor I can tear down and see where the timing is or what the timing is on a bridge port. I have heard of a few bridge ported motors being turbod and was wondering is there any difference in timing on a bridge port versus a peri port housing from Racing Beat? I was going to use the header flanges from R&B and since I make my own headers for other cars was just going to order the 1/8" tubing from them when I figure out the longblock :^) Thanks Guys for the help if you know any info on the port timing brige versus peri. please let me know. I saw a 93 engine that is for sale locally it is a complete 93 tt long block& accs. would this be a good canidate for a honest 500hp turbo motor?? If the side housing aren't warpped of course. What are real hp. numbers you guy's are making with these motors and still staying together? I was thinking going DFI anyway for fuel control so i wouldn't need any aftermarket fuel cut deal. Thanks Jerry

Both 3rd gen and 2nd gen motors can hanlde 500 HP. JUst make sure that you have enough fuel and tune it well.
