what should i use? i was just going to run some big heater hose... but it comes really close to my manifold... so i was thinking about running a steel braided line and getting 2 weld on 10an fittings... think this would be ok? or should i run a hard line? or should i just weld on some tube and clamp the braided hose to it....

Do not use heater hose for your oil return line, oil will eventually eat through it. You can either extend the hard pipe and hose clamp some stainless hose, or you can weld on fittings and run stainless hose. If you have to run rubber hose (don't have money), go to a junk yard and get some rubber hose from an AC system, it has a teflon coating on the inside and does not break down from oil.

I'm doing the same thing. I just got some steel braided hose and hose clamped it down tight...no leaks now, but I figure I'll just get it done right and not worry about it
