i have recently purchased the obx stainless manifold and was wondering who is using this and if they have encountered any problems with turbo clearance and which turbos they are using? someone on the club forum said tha bacon was using it and had a clearnace issue with the lower intake manifold. i would like to have some inside info on what i will be up against. i plan on using a t60-1 or t-66 equivalant turbo from a local garrett distributor. please help and let me know that maybe 2 out of the last 10 things i have done will not be such a disaster and that i might have made a good decision.

thanks,

roy

Would the OBX manifold fit on a FC?

I saw that manifold on ebay and it looked to be nice in quality. I don't know what turbo would fit on it though. I think its a t3 footprint.

ILUVMY88CABRIOL: a manifold designed for FD usually has some clearance issues fitting on an fc because the turbo will hit the Lower intake manifold as the lower intake manifold sits alot lower on an fc than on an fd.

Your only ready-made option for an FC is the HKS cast manifold, BUT it is a very well made manifold.

it looks almost the same design as the south florida sports manifold.I have one also (OBX)but I have not tried to mount it yet.

I would like some feed back also. The welds are clean but the angle is offset so I assume its for the turbo clearance.
