What about the new Profec E-O1?

The E-01 is a nice setup, but if that is all it will be used for (boost control) there are better units on the market for less, but if you are going to use it for its main feature (e-manage controller) then by all means it is a wicked purchase. I assisted in the install on one of these units 2 weeks ago.

 

What setting are you using? Make sure you are using the low setting... the high one is just damn scary...

 

The problems start when the unit is off. My car boosts way to high. Something is hooked up wrong and I'll be dambed if I can figure it out.

 

external or internal wastegate Jim? you may have the valve installed for the incorrect wastegate application

 

Its a HKS T-o4E kit and it has a HKS External Wastegate.

 

Well with the boost controller off, it would make sense for you to overboost if you have your wastegate spring adjusted for more than its minimum. I bet you'd be more happy without a boost controller all together, just adjust the wastegate spring.
