Yeah,

The rebuild kit has been ordered.

I am going tec III r. I have almost sold off all of my old computer/ign setup and will pretty much break even on the tec, so it was a no brainer to upgrade.

I am hoping to get the motor together this weekend when i have some spare time. I will take pictures of the buildup

jerico is still giving me the run-around on the trans. That is what is going to hold up the project.

How long is the rebuild/porting going to take? A couple weeks? Right now is a tough time everyone in the race business is real busy!!

My glide just came in!!

I also just got a SWEET 10 point for $250. They do Chromoly for $450 for a 10 pt but for the 35lb difference I cant weld chromoly so I will live with mild, I think I will have plenty of torque.

As for the cage, it is very easy to get in and out of, and there is actually ample head room when I am sitting in my driving position. The cage is molloy, 6 point, legal to 8.50 nhra. I have a removeable window net as well that is not pictured.

Bobby,

You posted this on the other forum but not sure if you still follow the thread there.

Are you sure a 6pt is good for 8.50's? I was under the impression that you need at least an 8pt just for 9s (nhra)?

Also, where did you get your cage done and what was the cost?

The cage looks great!

I believe it is legal because of the sidebars and roofbar (i dont think it is pictured anywhere..) but he told me that it is legal to that time. Ill look into it further, i never pushed the issue because i am not going to be running anywhere near 8.50's BTW i didnt make another thread on the '7club because all the haters

It was fabbed by Kayo Clark of Clark Racing Chassis in Lisbon, MD.

It's a small shop (actually in his backyard) but the dude can build a racecar. He is the guy that does all of demetrus' r85 turbo kits.

Demetrous and I ported the motor last night. The rebuild kit should be here by the end of friday, so the motor should be sitting in the car by the end of the weekend. The Tec came in yesterday.

the trans is getting built TODAY after bitching at jerico over the phone for 30 min. Then the car goes back to kayos for the tubular PPF and I'm in buisness!

almmmost there
