Looks to me that at 15 psi, the T04S's sweet spot is a little shifted towards more flow than the sweet spot on the GT35r. However, this might be compensated for by the fact that the sweet spot on the GT35r is 79% which is probably about 5% higher than the sweet spot on the 60-1. So I guess I"m saying those two factors may sorta even out.



Looks like the map is very similar between these two turbos. I'm very interested to see how this one turns out!!!!!

Charts, graphs & dyno sheets and what not are nice but say nothing to me about how it repsonds in the car.

CCalisi, Stock or ported engine? Also why did you decide to go small and aim only for 400?

it means 79% vs 75% that its gonna heat the air a bit less. denser air = more power. looks like it should be a little ahead of a normal t04 with the same or less lag.

If it is, I'm a little confused how they can list this one for $800 and the 35R for $1350?

It's a standard bearing turbo BUT is not a GT35 compressor; it's a GT35R compressor.

really want to see what the spool up will be like with this turbo as I was looking into it but ended up going with the 35r kit instead of puttin my own together.

I use the car as a daily driver so I didn't want to compromise too much on the low end by going with a larger turbo. Also keep in mind that I'm planning on using a high flow cat rather than a midpipe. I don't know of anybody that has put down 400rwhp with a cat. Steve Kan claims it is feasible, hopefully he is right!



The motor was built by Carlos Gonzalez of G&S Racing. It has a LARGE intake port that was modeled after what he uses in one of his race cars, and a medium exhaust port. He also machined the E-shaft and balanced the rotors to within 15 grams of each other. The motor was built with 2-piece Mazda 2mm seals.
