I have a single turbo fd. It has msd 6a on the leading coil. The leading coil stop working today. There are threads saying that fc coil is better than fd coil and therefore, I want to go the fc route.

1) Should swap out just the leading coil or should I swap out for both the fc leading and trailing coil?

2) How do the fd ignitors compare to the fc ignitors? Should I go for the fc?

3) Are all fc coil and ignitor assembly the same for all models?

Vosko,

I understand that you're saying yes in swaping out both fd leading and trailing coils for the fc. Are you also saying yes to the fc ignitors?

I've heard the trailing ignitor's switching mechanism can fail at high rpm, so don't swap in the trailing unless you ablsolutley have to.

I've heard the same thing as well.

I run 13B Cosmo trailing plugs with a coil that's made for a AE86 for my leadings....works Great!
